Wednesday 9th June

Our tour departs the Sheraton Heathrow Hotel at Heathrow Airport mid-morning for a visit to visit the Royal Gardens at Highgrove, the private home of Their Majesties King Charles and Queen Camilla. These gardens are widely regarded as some of the most innovative in the UK. After our tour of the gardens, we have lunch (included).

We then check-in to the 4-star Manor House Hotel in the attractive market town of Moreton-in-Marsh in the Cotswolds. Dinner is in the hotel (included).

NB: Visits to Highgrove are limited and dependent on the King’s diary. Dates are released in spring each year, therefore it is not possible to guarantee a visit before this time. Our itinerary may be re-ordered to accommodate the visit, or an alternative garden will be included should a visit not be possible.

Thursday 10th June

Today we begin with a visit to Bourton House, an award-winning 3-acre garden surrounding an 18th century manor house.

We return to Moreton-in-Marsh for free time and lunch (independent). Kiftsgate Court is our next stop where we explore this delightfully laid out plantsman’s garden created by three generations of women.

We end the day with an exclusive after-hours visit to the famous Hidcote Manor Garden. We will enjoy a tour of the gardens ending with drinks on the terrace. We return to the hotel for dinner (included).

Friday 11th June

This morning we visit Upton Wold, where we will be taken on a tour to explore this intriguing, private garden that has been created over the last 45 years by the owners. We spend time in picturesque Broadway for lunch (independent).

In the late afternoon, we explore the beautiful Elizabethan home of the Throckmorton family since 1409, Coughton Court. We have a tour of the 25-acre gardens with 200 varieties of roses and a delightful walled garden followed by dinner with the owners (included).

Saturday 12th June

We begin at Rousham, described as the purest expression of the ‘English landscape garden’. We take a tour of this historic garden then enjoy lunch in a local village pub (included).

In the afternoon we explore a lovely private garden with its vegetable, fruit and cutting garden. Your evening is at leisure in the hotel (dinner independent).

Sunday 13th June

After check-out we stop at historic Ham Court, home of artist Matthew Rice who has created a beautiful garden and will show us around before lunch (included).

In the afternoon, we check-in to the rather special Astor Wing at Hever Castle. We have a private tour of this romantic, double-moated medieval castle followed by dinner in the Tudor Dining Suite (included).

Monday 14th June

This morning we enjoy time at leisure at Hever Castle to explore the extensive and superb gardens.

We head to Royal Tunbridge Wells for a walk along the historic ‘Pantiles’ and lunch (independent) before visiting Town Place Garden. This private 3-acre garden, set around a 17th century Sussex farmhouse features over 600 roses and truly inspirational planting schemes.

On our way back to Hever Castle we stop at a country pub for dinner (included).

Tuesday 15th June

Today we have a pre-opening guided tour of Sissinghurst Castle Gardens − the epitome of the English garden with its series of garden rooms, each filled with different planting schemes and unique designs. There is time for lunch at Sissinghurst (independent).

In the afternoon we will visit Great Dixter, a cottage garden on a grand scale created by the late gardening writer and lecturer, Christopher Lloyd.

We return to Hever for dinner in the Castle’s Great Hall (included).

Wednesday 16th June

This morning we enjoy a visit to the beautiful private gardens at Long Barn. This was the first home of Vita Sackville-West and Harold Nicolson before creating their garden at Sissinghurst.

In the afternoon we have lunch (included) and time to explore the exquisite gardens at Gravetye Manor – former home of the celebrated gardener, William Robinson. It is a riot of colour and features a wonderful oval walled garden.

We return to Hever Castle where we enjoy a late English Afternoon Tea (included).

Thursday 17th June

After check out, our last day is spent at RHS Wisley, the Royal Horticultural Society’s flagship garden. We will enjoy a guided tour so you will be sure to see the very best of these impressive gardens. Lunch is included in the private Tulip Room.

In the late afternoon we drop off at the Sheraton Heathrow Hotel and Heathrow Airport Terminal 3 for inter-terminal transport links and the Heathrow Express and Elizabeth Line trains into London.
