Nothing beats a raised bed for growing vegetables. They keep the soil warm for improved root growth, retain moisture and practically eliminate weeding. Our revolutionary Grow Bed raises soil temperatures even more with energy-absorbing black plastic sides and it costs less than other raised beds too. In our test gardens, five Grow Beds yielded over 50 pounds of sweet, juicy melons, over 100 bell peppers, 54 eggplants, 53 pounds of potatoes and 216 pounds of tomatoes‹in just 45 square feet!
Because we build these raised beds ourselves in our Vermont workshop, we're able to control both quality and cost. The result? An attractive raised bed made of genuine rot-resistant white cedar, for under $100. Sturdy aluminum corners have an attractive copper finish. Beds are just the right size for a compact, easy-to-tend garden.
These faux stone bricks look like real stone except they're lighter, easier to install and a lot less expensive. Holds bark mulch in place and defines your beds beautifully. Bricks made to resist scuffs and chips from mowers and trimmers. Takes a few minutes and standard tools to install.
This earth-friendly, composite lumber is the perfect size for the 6-in Stackable Corner Joints and In-line Connectors. Lightweight and durable, it can be cut, nailed or drilled just like regular wood, but unlike wood it will never crack, rot or discolor. Use to create raised beds or landscape edging. Will never crack, swell, rot or fade.
According to some gardeners, the ideal raised bed is a trim 3' x 6' rectangle, attractive and easy to tend. Our Vermont-built raised beds are made of durable, rot-resistant white cedar. Copper corner caps further inhibit rot, and give the whole bed an elegant finished look. We offer a 3' x 3' square to use in smaller areas or in combination with the 3' x 6' bed. Both are 10-1/2" deep, a good choice for deep-rooted crops. When looks count, these are the raised beds to use. Raised beds require no digging. Cedar is naturally rot resistant, never bows and is easy assembly with included hardware, even matching copper nails.
For raised beds that won't bow out at the sides, use 4-foot planks and anchor them with our reinforcing in-line connectors. Recycled Plastic Lumber sold separately. Sized to match our Raised Bed Corner Connectors, in the same powder-coated aluminum with plastic caps to shed rain.
